Custom-moulded Components

Porex? porous plastic is a unique material that is composed of an intricate network of omni-directional pores. These pores join to form many tortuous paths and give porous plastics their superior combination of structural strength and filtering capability.

Porex? plastics come in almost every imaginable shape and size and are used in a wide variety of industrial and medical applications. They can operate at working pressures as high as 1034kPa (150psi) on a regular basis at a room temperature of 24?C. Porex? material is also chemically inert to most chemicals and solvents.

Porex? custom-made components are available in a wide range of materials and differing porosities to match application needs. The physical properties of this unique porous plastic are ideal to meet specific venting, filtration, wicking and diffusing requirements. Shapes can be either complex or simple, hardness can be soft, resilient or rigid and pore sizes range from 0.8 microns to 2000 microns.

Thermoplastic polymers include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), high density polyethylene (HDPE), ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
